Wireless solutions will always have lower sound quality than wired. Are you trying to eliminate the wire going to the front of the stereo? Your stereo might have a rear input(most likely RCA) that you can use. Try a RCA to headphone jack:( http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2263428 ) this was my solution to remove the front input wire for connecting my ipod.

Are portable DVD players suitable for adults, too?
Looking at a 9" Philips which seems to have everything needed at a good price. Wondering if 9" screens distort picture more than what a 7" screen would. Anybody know anything about these things?

admin answers:
Obviously, the bigger the better, but it all depends on when/how you would use it.
If you would use it to and from work, carrying it in a bag with not much space, the 7" would be more easier, BUT if you like bigger picture, the 9".

I won a DVD worth Rs.9000 on radio, they have already procured and paid taxes, do i need to still pay the TDS?
Hi,
Just before Diwali, i won on a FM radion on a sponsored program they were running. I was announced a portable DVD player from Philips PET 704. Firstly the station did not approach me for a whole week and finally when i approached them they immediately called me for receiving the gift. I was thrilled as this was my first time i had won.when i reached there to my dismay instead of the gift they asked me to sign on a agreement and also said that i need to pay x amount of TDS for the billed amount, they produced the bill too. My immediate reaction was if this is a gift and you have already paid the taxes and since they are not into the trading business too so their is no TDS that needs to be levied, for which they had no answers and said we will come back to you. I wanted to really verify if their are any TDS implications if yes then why and under what act of the IT laws this is goverened.
regards
Rohit

admin answers:
Yes the deduction of TDS is mandatory, and that have to be deducted before release of any award

Portable DVD remote question?
Will so-called "Universal" Remote controls work on Portable DVD players, too?
I'm asking because the portable DVD I bought (A 9" from Philips) has no on-off button, and you have to manually turn it on/off.

admin answers:
Some may and some may not. Depends on the Universal Remote. They are all different.

I have a Philips Dvd player dvp 5982 thats having problems reading my external hard drive (western digital portable notebook 250gb) I just wanted to watch some AVI files off it on my dvd player.
